Build the Experience

A physical kit with the assembly experience built in.

KUMIKO Soccer Ball combines hexagon frames, pentagon panels, kumiko-inspired inserts, and connectors into a soccer-ball structure with a Japanese geometric pattern.

The physical version will be shipped as printed parts for you to assemble at home. The first kit release will start in Japan, then expand to international shipping based on demand.

Inside the kit

Printed parts become a sculptural pattern.

The physical kit is planned as a set of printed parts. You assemble the kumiko pieces, panels, and connectors into the final ball.

Each model is made from many printed components, including frames, panels, inserts, and connectors.

Assemble the pattern

The kumiko-inspired pieces are fitted into the frames to create small patterned units.

Build the ball

The units are connected into a soccer-ball form and checked for fit, balance, and appearance.

Pack the kit

Printed parts are inspected, packed as a kit, and prepared for you to assemble into Japanese-inspired geometric decor.
